When?

ANZAC Day 2020 on Saturday 25 April.

How to get involved?

Collect a poppy cut-out from outside one of the following local businesses throughout the Loddon Shire region from Tuesday 21 April or print out a copy below.  Place a poppy on your letterbox, fence or front door as a way of commemorating ANZAC day. Share you letterboxes using #ProjectPoppyBox on social media.

 Other ways of commemorating ANZAC Day

  • Make a donation to the ANZAC appeal at anzacappeal.com.au.
  • Musicians are being called on to take part in the Music for Mateship campaign. This involves playing the Last Post at 6am on ANZAC Day morning in your driveway. Sheet music and neighbour notification letters can be found here musicformateship.org
  • RSL Victoria has also endorsed families standing at their gates, balconies, verandas or driveways at 6am to remember those who have served and sacrificed for the nation. You can share your photos of your ANZAC Day using the hashtag #standto

 Live broadcasts of ANZAC Day services

  • The ABC will be airing the Australian War Memorial Service at the Australian War Memorial from 5.30am live on television, radio and online. There will also be a two minute reflection at 11.30am live on television, radio and online. 
  • RSL Victoria will also be streaming a special edition of 2020 ANZAC Day Dawn Service live from the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. This will be available as a live stream on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/rslvic
