This Plan will build upon Loddon Shire’s Access and Inclusion Plan (2018-2022), to consider inclusivity broadly across Council.

Loddon Shire Council is developing an Inclusive Communities Plan. The Plan will include recommendations and actions to help Loddon Shire be a more inclusive place.

There are many diverse communities within Loddon Shire, with people of different ages, genders, cultural backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientations, and religious beliefs. We’re planning for inclusive communities so that everyone in our Shire feels safe, valued, respected, and supported.

Inclusive communities enable everyone to access the information, opportunities, services, and support that they need to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Project Timeline

  • Background review and analysis – April 2024 Complete
  • Community consultation phase 20 May- 23 June 2024 Complete
  • Draft Inclusive Communities Plan – August 2024 In progress
  • Community consultation phase 2 –November -December 2024
  • Final Inclusive Communities Plan –February 20
