Nick brings a practical hands-on approach to his Councillor role, drawing on over 20 years of experience ,10 years as an owner of an electronics repair business servicing Central Victoria and another 10 years in the trade.
Nick is a proud father, grandfather, welder/fabricator, car enthusiast, musician, active Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteer, small business owner, electronics engineer and radio operator.
Over the years, Nick has organised and ran several successful community fundraising events that have made a difference in the community, as well as charity music festivals. His recent initiative, a recycling project collection that focuses on collecting cans and plastic bottles. The proceeds from this project are donated to the local CFA brigades.
Nick has also been involved in building a CB UHF repeater on Channel 1 with the Central Victorian radio operators. This repeater is off grid and zello linked and is for use during fire season or as another form of communication during phone and power outages. It is located at the Mt Hoogley Rangers and is available for the community to use.
Nick embraces all that Loddon Shire has to offer and is eager to help support the "Aussie Battlers" in the region, including retirees, small business owners, farmers or individuals with low income.
