Sport Australia’s Move It Aus – Better Ageing Program, has funded the Loddon Mallee Regional Move It project in an effort to encourage older Australians to remain active.

Regular activity supports good mental wellbeing and social connectedness, and the Move It project aims to educate the community on the benefits of staying active.

As part of the Loddon Mallee Regional Move It project, Loddon Shire Council has been successful in receiving funding for Move It! Loddon. This will create more opportunity to deliver fitness classes for people 65 years and over in the local area of all fitness level and abilities.

Water aerobics classes are held in Wedderburn and Inglewood. Strength training classes are held in Inglewood, Wedderburn, Bridgewater, Korong Vale, Tarnagulla Pyramid Hill and Boort.
