Garden enthusiasts are encouraged to take time out this autumn and explore the magnificent Loddon Valley, and experience the area’s wonderful gardens and nurseries.

Firstly, a visit to The Spanner Man’s manicured sculptured gardens is a must. Run by John and Sonia Piccolli at Barraport near Boort, these beautiful home gardens also feature John’s amazing metal sculptures, which are crafted from spanners.

Around 40 sculptures are on display, including a full-sized Clydesdale and wagon – the largest of the spanner sculptures.

The gardens are open from Tuesday through to Sunday. Tours and viewing of the sculptures on these days is by appointment only at 10am and 2pm.

More information about the Spanner Man is available from www.facebook.com/Spanner-Man-John-Piccoli-497800383748286 or https://spannerman.weebly.com/ or by calling 5455 4257.

After experiencing the wonders of the Spanner Man’s sculptures and gardens, a drive to Wedderburn to visit the Wedderburn Produce and Garden store is sure to delight.

Featuring a wide variety of plants, seedlings, and garden supplies, the store also has a range of giftware products, including locally-made crafts. In fact, the store has such an amazing variety of products it is well worth a visit to see for yourself all the store has on offer.
