Sample the region’s gourmet food and wine, enjoy live music and entertainment, and savour a three-course meal prepared by an award-winning chef. All will feature at the Loddon Valley Food and Wine Expo on Saturday 16 March.
Part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, the expo will take place at the Newbridge Recreation Reserve from 10am until 5pm.
Loddon Shire Mayor Cheryl McKinnon said the expo was a chance to discover the array of local produce available from the Loddon Valley.
“We are very lucky in our region to be home to a number of wonderful local suppliers,” Cr McKinnon said.
“The Loddon Valley Food and Wine Expo is a terrific opportunity to sample this exceptional range of food and wine, while showcasing our produce to locals and visitors alike.
“What’s more, it is also a chance to highlight the great opportunities that come with living in the Loddon Shire.”
One of the highlights of the Loddon Valley Food and Wine Expo is certain to be the River Feast for 160 pre-booked guests. This three-course lunch will feature local produce prepared by award-winning chef, restaurateur, author and television presenter Karen Martini.
Served grazing platter-style, the lunch will be matched with local wines, as diners overlook the expo in full swing against the background of the picturesque Loddon River.
Please note, tickets to the River Feast close on Friday 15 March, so if you’re interested in being part of the lunch, please make sure to book your tickets via
