Support for trauma and grief

Following the recent tragic events in Wedderburn we have taken this opportunity to provide some information that may assist the Community to respond in the coming weeks and months.

Victoria Police, Loddon Shire Council and Inglewood & District Health Service are committed to working together to provide the community with support in the wake of the incident.

Attached are a number of fact sheets that may assist people dealing with the trauma of this incident.  These documents are also available from the Loddon Shire Offices, Wedderburn Community House and the Wedderburn Police Station. 

These documents will provide initial information on how trauma can affect individuals, families and the broader community.

We encourage everyone to take a couple of moments of reflection on your own health and wellbeing, and also those around you.  Support is available not only in response to this incident, but for every person who may be suffering hardship within our communities.

Wedderburn is an extremely strong community who will no doubt bounce back and rally around those affected.  This community spirit is one that is evident in all areas within the Loddon Shire.
