If you are considering standing for Council or curious about local government and the role of Councillors, attending one of these sessions will provide the information you are looking for.
The Municipal Association of Victoria is running two sessions for the Loddon community and potential candidates to gain a greater understanding of: the role and purpose of local government; the new Local Government Act; information about Loddon Shire Council and the municipality; roles, responsibilities and expectations of a councillor; the experience of being a councillor; and the electoral process and campaigning including key dates and information provided by the Victorian Electoral Commission.
