Self-Contained Accommodation is growing in Loddon Valley

All the comforts of home with a very different view through the windows: that’s the opportunity presented by the growing number of options for high-quality self-contained accommodation in Loddon Shire.

The latest addition to the list is “Parklands Retreat”, at Bridgewater, a 1950s-style double-brick home on a working farm.

With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living/dining area and games room, the house is set among native trees with an abundance of birdlife.

Bridgewater also has Graylee Cottage, a short walk from both the main street and the Loddon River, and Learmonths Place, a renovated farmhouse 7km south of the town.

Amateur gold fossickers are drawn to Tarnagulla and Wedderburn to test their luck, while Boort’s bountiful wetlands offer riches of a different kind, with their striking indigenous history and wildlife.
