Notice of Proposed Budget 2017/18

Loddon Shire Council has prepared a Budget for 2017/18 after consideration at the Ordinary Meeting held on Wednesday 26 April 2017 and now gives notice to advertise the Draft Budget.

Copies of the Draft Budget will be available for inspection from Monday 8 May 2017 to Monday 5 June 2017 during office hours at the Shire Offices Wedderburn and Serpentine and at post offices, resource centres and neighborhood houses across the municipality. The Draft Budget can also be accessed on Council’s website on www.loddon.vic.gov.au /our-documents.

Any person wishing to make a written submission on the Draft Budget must do so before close of business on Monday 5 June 2017. Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and must clearly state whether they wish to be heard in person or by a person acting on their behalf. Persons making submissions should be aware that all written submissions received will be made publicly available for inspection in accordance with Part 5 of the Local Government (General) Regulations 2005.   

Council will meet to consider any submissions at the Council Forum on Tuesday 13 June 2017 at the Wedderburn Council Offices, High Street, Wedderburn. Council will then consider adoption of the Draft Budget at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday 27 June 2017 at 3.00pm at the Council Chambers, Peppercorn Way, Serpentine. Council will give public notice of its decision.
