Loddon Shire residents are encouraged to recognise outstanding individuals and community groups by putting forward a nomination for the 2025 Australia Day awards.
Nominations are now open for Ward Citizens of the Year (previously Community Service Awards), Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Group/Event of the Year.
The 2025 Loddon Shire Citizen of the Year will be selected from Ward Citizen of the Year nominations, which are open for each of the five Loddon Shire wards (Boort, Inglewood, Tarnagulla, Terrick and Wedderburn).
Loddon Shire Mayor Gavan Holt encouraged community members to consider putting forward an Australia Day award nomination.
“The Australia Day awards are a great way to honour the contributions, achievements and dedication of those who go above and beyond for our community, making our region a better place to live,” Cr Holt said.
“I encourage residents to take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on and celebrate the positive impacts of these individuals and groups by putting forward a nomination.”
