New Plumbing Business to Loddon Valley
Published on 11 December 2017
The Loddon Valley now has a new local plumber, with long-time Bridgewater resident David Harrison opening a small business in the town.
Harrison Plumbing started work last month (November), offering services in general plumbing, maintenance jobs, gas work, wood heaters and new homes across an area of up to 150km from home.
David, 34, previously worked for Laser Plumbing in Bendigo for eight years, while wife Claire runs her own personal training business, Loddon FITT.
The couple, both born and raised in Bridgewater, have three boys aged between five years and 12 months.
“My work in Bendigo was mainly a mix of general plumbing, small commercial work and maintenance, but we thought it was a good time to start a business in Bridgewater with the prospect of good local demand,” David said.
“I’ll work from home for the moment and give that 12 months before committing to the idea of setting up shop elsewhere.”
The couple are involved in the local football/netball club, where Claire helps with planning for the town’s annual triathlon.
“I’d just like to be more helpful around town and fill the void,” David said.
“The hope is to build a reputation as being a quality tradesman.”
Harrison Plumbing can be contacted on 0458 360 105.
Loddon Shire Council is interested in hearing from any new businesses starting up in the shire.
