Water levels being monitored

Council is continuing to monitor water levels along the Loddon River.

The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is the control agency for flooding in Victoria, including supporting community preparedness and managing flood response. Council is a supporting agency to VICSES for flood response.

For advice and information regarding preparation, please visit the VICSES website.

The Bureau of Meteorology also provides up-to-date information regarding water levels and flood warnings. 

Remember to never drive, ride or walk through floodwater and never allow children to play in or near floodwater.

Property valuation objections closing soon

A reminder that objections to a property’s valuation as shown on rate notices, close 4 October 2022. Any objections received after this time cannot be accepted.

If you wish to lodge an objection against your 2022 valuation, you can do so by ringing Council on (03) 5494 1200 and requesting an objection form.

You can also log your objection electronically via the Rating Valuation Objections Portal.

Boort parkrun launching this Saturday

The Boort Nolen’s Park parkrun is launching on Saturday 1 October with the support of Loddon Shire and Healthy Loddon Campaspe

You can join in the free barbecue breakfast and smoothie bikes from 7.40am with the official run/walk to commence at 8am.

Make sure to register before attending via the parkrun website and bring your ID code on the day.

Dining and Entertainment Program is back

The Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program is back and now open.

You can claim 25 per cent cash back when you spend $40 or more, for purchases anywhere in Victoria, any day of the week.

You can make multiple claims until you reach a combined total of $125 cash back. To claim all you need is a receipt and your bank account details.

The Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program will run until the $25 million fund is exhausted or 11:59pm Friday 16 December 2022.

FRRR Rebuilding Regional Communities grant program

Applications for the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) Rebuilding Regional Communities (RRC) grant program are now open.

The program aims to support remote, rural and regional communities to access funds for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities. In particular to recover from and adopt to COVID-19.

There are two tiers of funding: micro grants for requests of up to $10,000, and larger grants, offered twice per year, for requests between $10,001 and $50,000.

EOIs for grants between $10,001 and $50,000 are due by 5pm AEDT, 18 October 2022. Full applications for both funding tiers are due by 5pm AEDT, 29 November 2022

Agricultural and Pastoral Society grants

Applications are now open for the Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants 2022-23 round to support shows and field days.

Eligible applicants can apply for up to $10,000 for infrastructure development and business activities to celebrate Victoria’s agricultural communities, practices, industry and produce.

Applications close at midnight 21 October 2022.
