Council Meeting outcomes
Tuesday’s (23 July) Council Meeting saw several items presented for Councillors’ consideration.
This included the adoption of the Kerbside Waste and Recycling Policy.
The purpose of this policy is to outline conditions associated with the provision of kerbside waste and recycling services through the municipality including the application of associated fees and charges.
Other outcomes of the meeting included:
- Provide public notice of Council’s intention to sell properties.
- Council’s commitment to establishing and transitioning service to a new Library Service Beneficial Enterprise.
- Adoption of the Heritage Loan Policy and Procedure.

Change of date for September Council Meeting
The Loddon Shire Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 24 September 2024, has been brought forward due to the 2024 local government election period.
The meeting will now be held on Monday 16 September 2024 at 3pm in the Wedderburn Council Chambers.

VicGrid Community Engagement Sessions
The Victorian Government, through VicGrid, is implementing a long-term strategic plan called the Victorian Transmission Plan (VTP) to ensure that we have the right infrastructure to support the transition to renewable energy at the right time and in the right locations.
VicGrid is starting work on the 2025 Victorian Transmission Plan, which will consider Victoria’s energy needs over the next 15 years. For further information, visit https://engage.vic.gov.au/victransmissionplan.
To support consultation on the draft Victorian Transmission Plan Guidelines, VicGrid will hold community drop-in sessions and online webinars across Victoria between now and 25th August.
These sessions will provide an opportunity to review the guidelines and study area, as well as an opportunity to provide feedback.
