Loddon Valley Calendar of Events out now
It’s great to see a fantastic range of events coming up in our region as highlighted in the 2022-2023 Loddon Valley Calendar of Events which is out now.
Spanning across the region, these events not only provide great opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate our wonderful Loddon Valley, but also showcase the region to visitors.
I’d like to acknowledge and thank everyone involved in putting on these events, which involve many hours of hard work – the majority of which is carried out by volunteers.
The Calendar of Events brochure is available from the Visit the Loddon Valley website and from information stands across the Shire.
A copy of the Calendar of Events brochure was also sent out with the 2022/23 rates notices.
Dingee Historical Wall information board
I’d like to congratulate the Dingee Progress Association Inc. on the completion and installation of the Dingee Historical Wall information board.
The information board tells the story behind the Dingee Historical Wall, which was created in 2001 and provides a visual memory honouring past residents and the contribution they made in creating the history of our region.
The information board will create further awareness of the Dingee Historical Wall, as well as encourage people far and wide to take the time to view the wall.
The project was delivered by the Dingee Progress Association, with funding support from Council’s Community Planning Program.

Australian Sheep and Wool Show
The Australian Sheep and Wool Show was held in Bendigo over the weekend, which was again a superb event with much to see and do.
Not only is the Bendigo event one of the biggest of its type in the world, the sheep and wool show also sees the involvement of many Loddon locals, including showcasing businesses and aspects of our agriculture. Many locals also attend the event generally.
It’s fantastic to see the involvement of our producers in such a signature event, further highlighting our region.
