Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group - Using technology to help residents know about resource recovery

The Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group in conjunction with Loddon Shire Council are encouraging residents to download the Loddon Mallee Waste Info App.
The FREE Waste Info App has been developed to help residents make quick and simple waste and recycling decisions with the aim to reduce contamination and increase recycling levels.
Key features of the Waste Info App include a personalised bin collection calendar for residents, with optional reminders, an easy to use A-Z list of materials and images showing which bin to put materials in, hints and tips to help with waste management as well as information about Loddon Shire Council’s waste and recycling services and facilities, including contact details, opening times and maps.
The Waste Info App also provides a ‘Report a problem’ form allowing residents to send feedback direct to Council about issues such as damaged or stolen bin, missed service and reporting litter or illegal dumping.
Residents who download the Waste Info App will also be sent push notifications advising them of changes to collection dates, events and programs.
To encourage residents to download this handy and easy to use App the Loddon Mallee Waste and Resource Recovery Group and Loddon Shire Council are offering one lucky resident the chance to win an eco-prize pack.
To be in the draw to win all you need to do is:
- Download the FREE Loddon Mallee Waste Info App through the App Store or Google Play with the search: Loddon Mallee.
- Select Loddon Shire Council and go to the Report Problem tab at the bottom.
- Enter in your contact details, select Waste App Competition from the topics, and in the notes section name an item you are unsure what bin it belongs in.
Competition closes Thursday 28 June 2018 and winners will be notified.
