Inglewood pre-school three year old program reinstated

Families in the Inglewood area are set to benefit from increased pre-school opportunities, with a three year old program to be reinstated in Term 2 of 2016.
Loddon Shire Council Early Years Coordinator Alycia O’Sullivan said a three year old pre-school program hadn’t been offered in Inglewood since 2013.
“It’s vital that we do all we can to ensure children growing up in regional areas have access to quality pre-school services,” Miss O’Sullivan said.
“With the amount of hours spent at any single pre-school session being relatively short, we need pre-schools located within close proximity of families wishing to access them.”
Miss O’Sullivan said the three year old pre-school program on offer at Inglewood in 2016 would operate in conjunction with the four year old program from Term 2 on Thursdays, between 8.45 am and 11.45 am.
“The cost is $200 per term, however depending on individual circumstances some families will be eligible for a $2.08 rebate per week their child attends the preschool program,” she said.
“If you’re considering enrolling your child next year, it’s also important to be aware of the new ‘no jab, no play’ legislation coming into effect on 1 January 2016.”
“From the date the legislation commences, all children enrolling in early childhood education and care services will need to be up to date with their vaccinations, or have an approved exemption, to be eligible for family assistance payments.”
“To begin the enrolment process you can download a form from Loddon Shire Council’s website at Online preschool enrolment or apply online there and then.”
“Alternatively you can collect an enrolment form by visiting one of our Council offices based at Wedderburn or Serpentine or at your local pre-school.”
