The community is invited to join clinical psychologist Dr Rob Gordon at a dinner at the Dingee Hotel on Wednesday 13 September 2023.

Dr Gordon has worked extensively in the field of disaster recovery with people and communities after floods, cyclones, fire and other events throughout Australia.

The community dinner, which gets underway at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, will include free meals, with drinks at bar prices.

“Dr Gordon has been working in the field of disaster recovery since Ash Wednesday in 1983 and has dedicated his career since to helping communities and emergency services workers recover after disasters,” Acting Director Community Wellbeing, Paul Scullie said.

“He provides support and insight into the different ways we may find ourselves thinking and feeling as we navigate recovery now and in the future.

“We encourage our community to come along to the dinner on 13 September and take the opportunity to hear from Dr Gordon.”
