Visitors to the Loddon Valley will now be able to discover the region from their phone with the launch this week of the new Loddon Valley Visitor Guide app.
The easy-to-use app lets users explore the region via the Calder, Loddon Valley and Wimmera highways, nearby sights to see or discover features, such as rivers and wetlands, antiques and collectables, and local produce.
The app also enables users to call businesses and the Loddon Visitor Information Centre direct as well as visit businesses’ websites and social media sites.
Loddon Shire Council Mayor Neil Beattie welcomed the app’s launch, adding that it would provide an even more convenient way for visitors to discover the region.
“Visitors will now have the ability to explore our superb Loddon Valley at their fingertips,” Cr Beattie said.
“This app is a fantastic and convenient way to discover the “must see” attractions of the region as well as areas of the Loddon Valley that visitors may have not yet discovered.
“Whether for a brief stay or an extended visit, the Loddon Valley is certainly a wonderful part of Victoria to explore. The visitor guide app provides a great way to choose aspects of the region to visit while here,” Cr Beattie added.
The free Loddon Valley Visitor Guide app is available for both Apple and Android devices.
