PUBLIC NOTICE
DECLARATION OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXEMPTION

I, Daniel Lloyd, Environment & Public Space Coordinator, of Loddon Shire Council, waterway manager for the Loddon River (at Bridgewater between Flour Mill Weir and Sweeney’s Lane), declare under section 203(3) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) that the Bridgewater Football and Netball Club Bridgewater Triathlon 2017 is exempt from:

1. The requirements of the clauses 62.4 (prohibition of bathing) and 62.6 (operating rules for exclusive use & special purpose are) of Schedule 62 of the Notice under section 15(2) of the Marine Act 1988.

This declaration applies to registered participants of the Bridgewater Triathlon on 5 February 2017 between the hours of 6.00 am and 11.00 am on the waters of the Loddon River between the Calder Highway Bridge and the main boat ramp at the Bridgewater Public Caravan Park, provided the stated safety controls and undertakings detailed in the Event Application and associated documentation are adhered to. Vessels providing rescue services must not exceed 5 knots unless undertaking a rescue operation.
