DECLARATION OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXEMPTION (AMENDED)

I, Darren Schultz, Building & Contracts Officer, of Loddon Shire Council, waterway manager for the Loddon River (at Bridgewater between Flour Mill Weir and Sweeney’s Lane), declare under section 203(3) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) that the Bridgewater Ski Club 2015 State Skier Development Camp, is exempt from:

The requirements of clause 62.2 (in relation to the 5 knot speed restricted area between the exclusive use and special purpose areas detailed in clauses 62.6 and 62.7);
The requirements of clauses and 62.6 and 62.7 (in relation to the operating rules for exclusive use & special purpose areas) of Schedule 62 of the Notice under section 15(2) of the Marine Act 1988.

This declaration applies to registered participants of the Bridgewater Ski Club State Skier Development Camp on 7 to 11 and 15 to 18 December 2015 between the hours of 7.30 am till 5.00 pm daily on the waters of the Loddon River from approximately 125 metres upstream of the Calder Highway Road Bridge to approximately 115 metres downstream of Sweeney’s Lane Boat Ramp, provided that all vessel occupants are wearing a PFD and that the stated safety controls and undertakings detailed in the Event Application and Safety Management Plan are adhered to.
