DECLARATION OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXEMPTION 24-25 October

I, Darren Schultz, Building & Contracts Officer, Loddon Shire Council, (the declared Waterway Manager for the Loddon River (at Bridgewater between Flour Mill Weir and Sweeney’s Lane)), declare under section 203(3) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) that persons and vessels involved in the Bendigo Canoe Club event on 24 and 25 October 2015,  are exempt from:

  1. Clause 62.6 and Clause 62.7 of the waterway rules as detailed in Schedule 62 of the Notice under Section 15 of the Marine Act 1988, in relation to the exclusive use and special purpose areas.

This declaration applies to registered participants of the Bendigo Canoe Club event between the hours of 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturday 24 October and Sunday 25 October 2015 for the waters of the Loddon between the Calder Highway Bridge and the boat ramp at Sweeney’s Lane, provided the stated safety controls and undertakings detailed in the Event Application and associated documentation are adhered to.
