Mayor-Dan Straub

A canvas for creativity

Last Friday I was thrilled to open "A Major's View", the inaugural Pyramid Hill Art Competition. It was great to see the hall overflowing with over great art work and also so many community members coming together to celebrate this new event for Pyramid Hill.

I would like to thank our local artists for their hard work in bringing this event to life and congratulations to all involved!

Get ready to rock

I was fortunate enough to see rehearsals of an upcoming local rock cover band called Rusty Bearings over the weekend. Rusty Bearings is made up of five talented musicians from Pyramid Hill, Serpentine, Dingee and Axedale.

These talented musicians have been wowing crowds with their versions of some of the greatest rock hits of all time.

So if you are looking for a fun night out, be sure to catch the band at their next show. They will be sure to get your toes tapping and your head banging!

Keep up to date with their upcoming gigs within the Shire via their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090019785705
