With Council elections now complete and compulsory Councillor training underway, it has been a busy couple of weeks.
I would like to thank my fellow Councillors who elected me as Mayor for the next 12 months. I look forward to working with returning Councillor Gavan Holt and our newly elected Councillors Miki Wilson (Inglewood Ward), Nick Angelo (Tarnagulla Ward) and David Weaver (Boort Ward).
The next 12 months will be important for our Shire as we develop the Council Plan, Community Vision, Financial Plan and Asset Plan to name a few. I look forward to working with Council and the community as we shape the future of Loddon Shire.
Customer Experience Community Survey – Your Voice Matters!
Council is committed to creating an exceptional experience for all community members.
To help us better understand your expectations and the areas for improvement, Council is developing a Customer Experience Strategy. As part of this, Council has created a survey to gather your feedback.
I encourage all community members to share their thoughts. Your insights and feedback from the survey will be incorporated into the development of the Customer Experience Strategy and Charter 2025/29.

Public comment on the VNI West Environment Effects Statement
Transmission Company Victoria is preparing an Environment Effects Statement (EES) for the Victorian component of the VNI West project. The EES is the most rigorous assessment of the environmental impact of a project in Victoria and requires a wide range of environmental, social and technical studies.
This is your opportunity to have your say on what you think should be considered in the EES.
You can provide feedback to the Department of Transport and Planning on the draft scoping requirements through the government website Engage Victoria:

The draft scoping requirements will remain open for public comment until Wednesday 18 December 2024.

Change of date for the December Council Meeting
The December Council Meeting, previously scheduled for Tuesday 10 December, will now be held on Tuesday 17 December, in the Council Chambers, Wedderburn, commencing at 3pm.
From Thursday 12 December, the Council Meeting Agenda will be available via the link: www.loddon.vic.gov.au/.../Agendas-and-minutes-2024
Council offers livestream and on-demand access to Council meetings, enabling members of the public to view proceedings via the Internet as an alternative to attending in person.
