Community Recovery Grants closing soon
Published on 04 October 2023
Council is reminding communities that the deadline to submit applications for Community Recovery Grants is midnight 22 October 2023.
Grants are available for not-for-profit groups (or those auspiced by a not-for-profit group) for flood recovery activities that help communities connect and keep them strong.
Funding ranges from $500 to $5,000 – depending on the activity or event.
Projects that bring multiple community partners together and involve a wide range of community members are strongly encouraged.
Council’s Director Community Wellbeing Wendy Gladman encouraged community groups to apply for a grant.
“There are a range of events and activities supporting continued flood recovery in our Shire that can be supported through these grants for our not-for-profit groups” Mrs Gladman said.
“This could include events that help social connections – such as Christmas tree events, a community barbecue event or an activity focused on recreation or improving mental health and wellbeing.
“Or perhaps your event or activity improves our communities’ resilience – such as Mental Health First Aid training for volunteers.
“If you’re not sure if a planned activity or event is eligible, please don’t hesitate to call our Community Recovery Team on 5494 1200,” Mrs Gladman added.
Applications can be accessed via Loddon’s SmartyGrants portal at https://loddon.smartygrants.com.au/CFRG
