About the role:
Council is seeking a media and communications superstar to join our team as our Media and Communications Coordinator.
This is an exciting new role that will be pivotal in Council’s work to enhance its brand profile and reputation in the community and region. With responsibility for developing and maintaining consistency in content and messaging for internal and external audiences, we are looking for a communications expert to connect, inform and inspire.

This is a permanent full-time position based at the Wedderburn office, with flexible working arrangements available.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- demonstrated ability to create content across all communication platforms and a track record in securing media coverage
- high-level stakeholder management with the ability to gain the cooperation of and assistance from persons internal and external to the organisation
- excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening and clear interpretation
- well-developed information technology skills, including competency in desktop publishing, relevant social media and survey tools and/or applications.
