Motor oil, filters and tyres

Motor Oil

All Landfill and Transfer Stations accept used motor oil free of charge. The oil is collected by qualified contractors who reprocess it into products including heating oils for industry.

Oil filters

Domestic automotive used oil filters can be recycled for free at the following locations:
• Boort Landfill and Recycling Station
• Inglewood Transfer and Recycling Station
• Newbridge Landfill and Recycling Station
• Pyramid Hill Landfill and Recycling Station
• Wedderburn Transfer and Recycling Station.

The filters must be drained and this can be done on site.

Tyres

All tyres are accepted at Landfill (tips) and Transfer Stations at a cost. For our current fees please refer to Waste Management on Council's current fees and charges document.
