Free waste disposal

Loddon Shire Council offer residents limited free waste disposal via a voucher system at each of its Landfill and Transfer Stations.

Four vouchers will be included in the annual rates notice. Residents that do not receive a rates notice are advised to contact the relevant property owner for access to the vouchers.

Each voucher will be valid for a six month period.

  • Two vouchers valid for 1 July to 31 December
  • Two vouchers valid for 1 January to 30 June

Vouchers can only be used once and only one voucher can be used per transaction. 

A voucher can be used to dispose of up to 4 cubic metres of the following items free of charge:

  • green waste
  • mixed recyclables
  • general household waste
  • E-waste:
    • all TVs, computer screens, home appliances and electronic items
    • refrigerators, freezers, microwaves and air conditioners
    • end of life battery operated products

The following items are not included, as these items have additional third party costs associated with their disposal and therefore will be charged as per normal disposal charges:

  • tyres
  • bricks and concrete
  • mattresses
