Award winning author to visit Wedderburn Library Agency
Funded by the State Library of Victoria and presented in partnership with Public Libraries Victoria Network, High Road to Reading brings authors to public libraries across regional Victoria for readings, talks and workshops.
Mark Brandi was born in Italy and raised in a country pub in Stawell, Victoria. After graduating with a degree in criminal justice and working in a number of roles within the Department of Justice, Mark changed direction and began a new career as a writer. His work has been published in The Guardian and The Age and is often broadcast on ABC Radio National.
Wimmera is Mark’s first novel, and was the 2016 winner of the UK Debut Dagger for crime fiction. Wimmera is both riveting and unforgettable, bringing the darkness in a Victorian country town vividly to life, as it slowly reveals its devastating secrets.
The Wedderburn Library Agency is particularly fortunate to be hosting both an author talk and writing workshop and those with an interest in writing are encouraged to attend and welcome Mark to town.
Entry is free, but bookings are required at www.goldfieldslibraries.com
